The best seafood I've eaten in a while

Seems like I only end up updating posterous when I'm on a holiday. Travel meals seems more apt for a blog title.

Anyway, I'm in Goa and I am totally enjoying checking out the restaurants here. We had lunch at Souza Lobo and it was delicious. The seafood is so, so fresh, even my seafood averse sister gobbled down the crispy prawns and ordered for a second helping. My favourite were the garlic butter potato skins. I'm going to go back to this place tomorrow just for this. A little too buttery, but what the heck, I'm on a holiday! We stopped by at infantria and I was happy to dig into a gooey chocolate muffin while the parents enjoyed the walnut muffin. I'm so full, I don't think I can have dinner, but I know I might just end up stuffing myself. :P

Food Diary: NY Day 1

I forgot my chord to upload my photos. Or at least I can't find it now, so there will be only text. This is what I ate today:

Breakfast: A pear and cheese croissant.
Lunch: Tilapia curry with tur dal rice. (Tilapia is so different from the fish we eat back home. It smells earthy instead of salty. With just a bite you'll know it's not a salt water fish)
In-betweens: A hot dog, cinnamon bun and a soft pretzel at Ikea - bought a cute little coffee frother from there. Wonder when I'll use it though!
Dinner: Smoked turkey sandwich from Panera Bread

Japan Inn

Loved the Hibachi style Japan Inn. This is my cousin Jessica's favourite place and so she knew which chef to pick to serve us. Taylor (wondering what his Japanese name would be, or is he faking the Japanese accent?) was really entertaining. I absolutely loved the meal.

We could choose two out of three meats - steak, shrimp and chicken. I chose steak and shrimp.

We started the meal with miso soup and a salad with ginger dressing. Then I had shrimp with rice and steak with noodles. The white garlic saw was something everyone was talking about.

I <3 Vanilla Yoghurt

So I had raspberries for the first time a few days ago, but I was kinda disappointed. The long wait and anticipation for it wasn't so worth it. Strawberries are way better. I had them with vanilla yoghurt and OMG, the yoghurt is so, so good. I have got to come back home and make some!
